What’s your most treasured item of clothing?
I was given an Alexander McQueen dress after doing my first show and campaign for Sarah Burton. She’s so nurturing and caring. I took home a dusty-pink dress with a high neckline and lots of lace. It gives period drama.
Which three products do you always have in your make-up bag?
A lip balm (Paula’s Choice Hyaluronic Acid & Peptide Lip Booster), a hand sanitiser (Aesop Resurrection Rinse-Free Hand Mist) and SPF50 suncream (Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun: Rice & Probiotics).
What’s the most Dutch thing about you?
We have this expression in the Netherlands that translates to: “Put your shoulder to the wheel.” It means stand strong, stop complaining and just go for it.
Which restaurant do you return to time and time again?
A vegetarian dim sum place called Bodhi in New York City’s Chinatown. Have the General Tso.
What makes for the ideal first date?
Someone who asks you questions. Good clothes. Hygiene? The bar is low.
How do you stay friends with an ex?
I wouldn’t know – I’m a Scorpio. Out of sight, out of mind!
Name the last film you saw that left an impression on you.
The Substance. It made me feel better about not wanting to do all the cosmetic procedures other people are doing. But… never say never!
The best gift you’ve ever received?
My parents got divorced when I was 14 and I was given their wedding rings as a present for my 21st. I wear them both on a necklace.
What’s the secret to loving the skin you’re in?
Stop overthinking.
How about the biggest cliché in modelling?
That models are unintelligent. The number of models who are also at university is high.
Can a model change the world?
Yes, but it takes a lot of work. I hope that we can at some point retire terms such as “curve”, “mid-size” and “straight-sized” when body diversity becomes the norm.
Who gives the best fashion gossip?
The model Felice Nova Noordhoff and I have had the best of times, and I love running into the stylist Stella Greenspan at the Pilates studio during Paris Fashion Week.
What’s your biggest extravagance?
Vinted.
And your proudest achievement?
Being able to afford a home. I never thought I would.

Byredo’s Mixed Emotions.
What should I do with 24 hours in Amsterdam?
Have lunch at the Carmen concept store, visit the art deco Tuschinski cinema and sleep at the Sweets Hotel.
If you could raid anyone’s wardrobe, whose would it be?
Helena Bonham Carter’s. I’d steal her collection of vintage Vivienne Westwood.
