As someone who lives, breathes and sleeps in fistfuls of rings, layered necklaces, earrings, ear cuffs and bracelets, I get asked to recommend jewellery brands a lot (like, a lot a lot). From close friends to fellow pub-goers, I’m always more than happy to dispense my advice and knowledge on one of my favourite subjects.
While the best jewellery I own has been acquired after many hours searching through jewellery pop-ups, Instagram, charity shops, eBay and stalls at flea markets, there are several pieces courtesy of big-name and independent brands that take pride of place in my jewellery box, alongside the pre-loved magpie treasures. I go through jewellery phases, moving between periods of wearing silver, gold, and both. At the moment my permanents include: a stacked set of crystal toi et moi rings, which are samples given to me by a friend, a €2 glass ring from Greece (left hand), a Bleue Burnham sapphire ring and Tom Wood signet (right hand), an All Blues initial necklace, a Pattaraphan dice pendant, silver Mejuri huggie hoops, market studs and hoops in my seconds and three cartilage piercings, and an All Blues ear cuff.
You get the message: I wear a lot of jewellery at all times. This is why I’m keen to share some of the best jewellery brands I’ve come across – and those on my wish list – with anyone who is looking to expand their own collection. Here, you’ll find a selection of some standout styles (there are many, many more!), arranged into loose categories. In an effort to include as many as possible, I’ve shared their names and my favourite piece from each designer. Happy scrolling!
